As described by the U.S. Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) website, the Health Care Innovations Exchange is "a comprehensive program designed to accelerate the development and adoption of innovations in healthcare delivery." The Innovations Exchange aims to increase awareness of innovative strategies and activities among health care providers by providing: (1) profiles of successful and attempted innovations; (2) practical tools to help assess, measure, promote and improve the quaility of health care; (3) resources describing the process of innovation and adoption; and (4) opportunities to interact and share information with innovators and organizations that have adopted innovations.
AHRQ publishes a new issue of the Innovation Exchange every two weeks, featuring new innovations and "QualityTools". The most recent issue, published July 21, features innovations relating to chronic disease management.
